Organizing My Medical Records

I use a variety of folders to organize my personal medical records at home.  Since I see a variety of doctors, I keep a separate colored folder for each doctor.  This makes it much easier for me to find the information when I need to find it.  I prefer to use a colored classification folder so I can file the receipts and the doctors notes separately from my own questions that I take to each appointment.

Sounds like you really have a great system Marty - thanks for posting!  I love the idea of using a different color for each doctor, really helps to separate right off the bat as we instinctively recognize color faster the text.

Do you keep your medical files in a drawer or on a desk?

I like the color coding idea too. If organizing by medical- related subject you can use different colors for lab reports, insurance papers and bills (corresponding stapled together), prescriptions, doctors, and health and wellness information, etc.
