Smead is dedicated to providing a safe, clean working environment with open channels of communication, and support for self-responsibility, teamwork, diversity, and creativity. We operate with only the highest of ethics. Work/life balance and family values are emphasized.
Social responsibility to our communities is strongly encouraged. Volunteerism has long been a function of many employees in all Smead locations. Fire Departments, Hospital Emergency teams, food banks, schools, and facilities employing the disabled are just a few areas where employees have given of their time.
In partnership with the Office Products industry, Smead and its employees have proudly supported the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute which provides help to thousands of people afflicted with life-threatening diseases. To date, Smead has raised and donated several million dollars to this worthwhile medical and research center.
